Okay, to recap:
- To live an adventurous life, you need a mission.
- Your mission depends on your definition of success.
- But success is tricky to define, because each of us is full of introjects — other people’s ideas of what’s important — that lead us to question whether our intentions are really our own.
Which leads us to our big question:
How do you lead a life of authentic intentions?
Being “authentic” means that your actions and beliefs are aligned. When you do something, you believe in what you’re doing. It feels right.
So the road to authenticity — hence the road to adventure — is to figure out what you believe and then act accordingly.
Unfortunately, that’s terrible advice.
